Poolhouse

Dit is mijn ontwerp van een poolhouse dat ik ontworpen heb in Sketchup. Door deze opdracht in het vak Computertekenen heb ik ondervonden dat ik graag met dit programma werk, het gaat ook heel snel en gemakkelijk.

Het idee, 'ontwerp een poolhouse' vond ik persoonlijk een moeilijke opdracht. Ik wist niet hoe ik daar het best aan begon. Het begon met opzoekwerk, zoeken naar poolhouses, materialen en bepaalde sferen. 

Dit is mijn eerste ontwerp, ik wou graag met hout en veel glas werken. Een strak poolhouse dus. Het idee van de schuine muur heb ik opgedaan tijdens mijn zoektocht op het internet. Toch vond ik dit ontwerp nog niet op punt staan...

In mijn tweede ontwerp is er heel wat veranderd. In plaats van 1 volume heb ik er 2 van gemaakt. Ik heb de volumes op palen gezegd zodat ik het gevoel kon creëren dat ze zweven. 

Mijn derde en uiteindelijke ontwerp is zeer gelijkend op het vorige. Ik heb dit gekozen omdat het gevoel dat de volumes zweven ik hier nog meer heb kunnen opwekken, door het ene volume heel lang te maken en zeer laag boven het zwembad te plaatsen. Ik heb het poolhouse in het geheel langer en minder hoog gemaakt, dat maakt het een stuk eleganter.

Dit is mijn moodboard voor mijn poolhouse. Ik heb foto's gebruikt die de sfeer aanduiden die ik in het poolhouse wil creëren. Daarnaast heb ik mijn inspiratie voor een smal en langwerpig poolhouse opgedaan aan een foto die ik op internet vond. In het poolhouse wil ik vooral die rust en kalmte laten terugkomen.

POOLHOUSE 

This is my design of the poolhouse that I have designed in Sketchup. Because of this assignment for the course Computerdesigning, I experienced that I enjoy working with this program, as it is easy and efficient to use.

My personal opinion about the idea ‘design a poolhouse’ is that it was a hard assignment. I didn’t really knew how to start with it. I started with research, searching for poolhouses, resources and certain atmospheres.

This is my first design, I wanted to work with wood and a lot of glass. A smooth looking poolhouse. I found the idea of the sloping shed while searching for it on the internet. Although I didn’t think this design was fully finished...

 

In my second design, a lot has been changed. Now there are two volumes instead of just one. I placed the volumes on a pole to create the feeling and the illusion that they are floating. 

My third and final design is very similar to the precious one. I chose this one because it does an even better job at creating the feeling that they are floating by making one volume longer and by placing it just above the swimming pool. I lowered and stretched out the poolhouse, there for making it more elegant.

This is my moodboard for my poolhouse. I used the photos that signified the atmosphere that I want to create inside of the poolhouse. Besides that have I taken inspiration of the design of a long narrow poolhouse from one the photos that I found online. In the poolhouse, I mostly want to make people feel at ease and create calmness in the poolhouse.
